It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Esther MacClure of Onawa, Iowa, who passed away on September 16, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sylvester Minten and Rose Minten (Pottebaum); her husband James MacClure; her granddaughter Megan MacClure; her children, Fred MacClure, Ray MacClure and Marlene Appleton; and her siblings, Joe, Paul Minten and Rosemary O'Gara.
She is survived by: her children, Mary McGlothlin (Don) of Lake Elmo, Elaine MacClure of North Liberty, Teresa Bernstein (Martin) of Kansas City, Don MacClure of Onawa, Glen MacClure (Sheryl) of Des Moines, Wayne MacClure (Rhonda) of Hornick, Steven MacClure of Glendale, Tom MacClure (Ronda) of Whiting and Gary MacClure (Denise) of Navarre, Florida. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; seven brothers and sisters; nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Mass will be 10:30 A. M. Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at St. John Catholic Church, Onawa, Iowa with Father Michael Erpelding, Celebrant officiating. (Social distancing measures must be followed- Family requests attendees to bring and wear masks.).
