It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alton Morton of Onawa, Iowa, who passed away on February 7, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Morton and Ruby Morton (Carlson); his parents-in-law, Darrel and Opal Deen (Dean); his brother-in-law Darrel "Junior" Deen; and his daughter-in-law Judy Morton.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Morton of Onawa, Iowa; his children, Keith Morton (Tami) of Whiting, Kevin Morton (Sheila Alioth) of Salix and Julie Stone (Randy) of Gordon, Nebraska; his grandchildren, Lucas Morton (Katie) of Whiting, Megan Garbe (Grant) of Sioux City, Rachel Limoges (Andrew) of Sioux City, Krystin Sitzmann (Ben) of Le Mars, Hannah Wroblewski of Lincoln, Sophia Wroblewski of Des Moines and Claire Russell (Kaden) of Ogallala, Nebraska; his great grandchildren, Cadence, Ryatt, Saylor Morton, Aiden, Carter Garbe, Caden, Marissa Sitzmann, Emmett, Croix Limoges, Liam, Samuel and Zachary Russell; and his brother-in-law Billy Deen (Marcena). He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Goslar Funeral Home Chapel (1629 10th St, Onawa, IA 51040). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Onawa United Methodist Church (1103 13th St, Onawa, IA 51040).
