He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Lester and Marjorie Lester (Hammarstedt); his wife Sheryle Stevens; his son Ronald Jr.; his grandson Zachary; his great grandchild Darren; and his sisters, Marilyn Stein and Carolyn Cowden.
He is survived by: his daughters, Stacey Monthei (Roger) of Jewell, IA and Julie Perkins (Tim) of Johnston, IA. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the discretion of the family for a charity of their choosing.
