He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Kieffer and Dorothy Kieffer (Heman); and his brother Wilmer "Bill" Kieffer. He is survived by: his wife Lisa Kieffer of Ogden; his children, Michael (Lindsay Peters) of Nevada and Kara (Eric Syverson) of Norwalk; and his siblings, Mary Jo Hromatka (Tom) of Urbandale, Jim Kieffer (Linda) of Forest City, Tom Kieffer (Michelle) of Urbandale, Steve Kieffer (Traci) of Ogden and Don Kieffer (Alison) of Fayetteville, AR. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be directed to the family and will be donated to: Iowa Optimism Walk For Parkinson's Disease under Team Ogden which will be held on September 21, 2024 in Urbandale.
