With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Stephen Mead of Ogden, Iowa, born in Mitchellville, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 3, 2024 at the age of 81. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Mead and Helen Mead (Weston); his sister Donna Mead; his brother-in-law Bob Heater; his nephew Robert Bebb; and his great-niece Amber Bebb.
He is survived by: his siblings, Marilyn Heater of Ogden, Larry Mead (Rachel) of California and Harold Mead of Ogden. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Carson-Stapp Funeral Home (601 W Division St, Ogden, IA 50212). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 1:30 PM at the Highland Memory Gardens (1 NE 60th Ave, Des Moines, IA 50313).
All memorials will be given in memory of Richard to Heartland Hospice.
