He was predeceased by: his sister Shandon White; his brother-in-law Dale White; and his great grandchild Hoon Thomas Barto. He is survived by: his wife Betty; his daughters, Cheryl White (Paul) of Ames and Karen Jones (Tom) of Ankeny; his grandchildren, Matthew White of Ames, Ben White of Ames, Patrice Ott (Bryant) of Omaha, Kimber Barto (Tae) of Ankeny and Brett Jones (Stephanie) of Columbia; his great grandchildren, James Ott, Conor Ott of Omaha, Balin Barto and Mara Barto of Ankeny; and his sister Maxine Topping (Bob) of Perry. He is also survived by two nieces and one nephew.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to Zion Lutheran Church in Ogden, the American Heart Association, or the American Diabetes Association.
