He was predeceased by: his parents, John Heineman and Marie Heineman (Maas); his wife Eldora; his grandson Aaron Heineman; and his siblings, Bernice Muench (Howard) and Irvin Heineman (Sally).
He is survived by: his sons, Dr. Brian Heineman (Nancy) of Grinnell, IA, Craig Heineman (Martha) of Ogden, IA and Paul Heineman (Lynn) of Ogden, IA; and his grandchildren, Dr. Anna Heineman (Gary Heil), Dr. Kate Heineman (Lee Henderson), Dr. John Heineman (Lauren Seemann), Dr. Thomas Heineman (Adelaide Subtil), Brett Heineman (Sarah), Laura Sorensen (Reid), Andrew Heineman (Katy), Marcus Heineman (Leslie) and Grant Heineman (Emily). He is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to either: Zion Lutheran Church or the E.L.M. Street Preschool.
