He was predeceased by: his parents, William Emil and Leona Melva Mundt (Richard); his wife Shirley Mae Power; his sons, Donald and Terry; and his siblings, Paul, Dale, Virgil, Larry, Raymond and Margaret Monteith.
He is survived by: his daughter Cherie Parrish (Eugene) of Oelwein; his grandchildren, Tiffany Rhoades, Shawn Parrish, Gabrielle Mundt, Devon Mundt and Chris Mundt; his great grandchildren, Cheyenne, Cody, Crystal and Chase; his great great grandchild Charlotte; and his siblings, Bert Mundt (Dorothy) of Jacksonville and Bernice Snyder (Jack) of Mason City. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to state and federal guidance on gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing will be required. Those in attendance are encouraged to wear a mask at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given in his name to Hub City Heritage Railroad Museum.
