Sheldon Fox Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sheldon Fox of Oelwein, Iowa, who passed away on October 20, 2020, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Earl and Nellie Jane Fox (Palmerston); his wife Mary "Betty" Woods; his daughter Debra Nefzger; his great grandchild Sadie Smith; and his siblings, Nora Potter, Evelyn Dyball, Faye Moore and Gilbert Fox.

He is survived by: his daughters, Pat Burghardt (Veryl) of Sumner, Peg Schlatter (Keith) of Hawkeye, Becky Fox of Cedar Rapids and Bobbie Fox of Cedar Falls; his son-in-law Jim Nefzger (Cindy) of Lansing; and his grandchildren, Jennifer Gleason (Gene), Aaron Burghardt (Ingrid Barker), Neal Burghardt (Chuck Salem), Katy Burghardt, Angie Hundley (Jeremy), Heidi Wilkinson (Neil), Derek Smith (Heidi Eitel), Shelby Logan (Michael), Garrett Rieks and Kinsey Crawford (Mark). He is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews.
