He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Jackson and Ruth Howland King; and his brother Robert. He is survived by: his wife Frances Kvasnicka (Frankie); his son James Royce (Brenda); his granddaughter Susan Kathreen; his cousin Milton Andrews; his pet Herald; his daughter Susan Bilodeau (Jim); and his sisters, Carolyn Oakman and Marylyn Chapman. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
