He was predeceased by: his parents, John LeRoy and Clara Truog (Vanselow); his brothers, Andrew Truog (Dorothy) and Richard Truog (Betty); and his son-in-law Jerry Gonzales.
He is survived by: his wife Dione Truog of Oelwein; his daughters, Lora Gonzales (Mike Haun) of Oelwein and Connie McNamara (Russ) of Oelwein; his grandchildren, William McNamara of Ames, Alissa, Devin and Logan Gonzales of Oelwein; and his siblings, Don Truog (Joan) of Morrison, Iowa and Eleanor Truog of Oelwein. He is also survived by Several Nieces & Nephews and his beloved cat.
