We are sad to announce that on August 30, 2020, at the age of 83, Richard Gehrke of Oelwein, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gehrke and Claribel Gehrke (Miller); his brother Robert Gehrke; his nephews, David Gehrke and Bobby Rosenbaum; his niece Sheri Rosenbaum; and his parents-in-law, Lawrence, Barbara Kauten, Jimmy Kauten and Rosemary Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Kauten; and his parents-in-law, Ruby Gehrke, Bob, Margaret Rosenbaum, John Johnson, Teresa, Boyce Harker, Jim Lincoln, Bill, Joann Kauten, Helen Girard, Alice Kauten, Francis, Mary Kauten, Ralph and Erica Kauten.
Due to state and federal guidelines on gatherings regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing is required.
