Richard David Franks Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard David Franks of Oelwein, Iowa, who passed away on September 30, 2020 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Amos Franks and Ida Belle Groth Franks (Smith); his grandson Aaron; his siblings, Owen and Charlida; and his half-brothers, Alfred and Virgil Groth.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Franks of Oelwein; his sons, Kent Franks (Sandra) of St. Olaf and Kurt Franks (Donna) of Postville; and his grandchildren, Bryon Franks and Rachel Franks.
Due to state and federal guidance on gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing will be required. Those in attendance are asked to wear a mask inside the funeral home and church.
