He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lawrence Pfiester and Patricia Pfiester (Weyant) of Oelwein; his wife Robin Kappmeyer; his great grandchild Jaycer; his children, Ryan Pfiester of Oelwein, Autumn Eiklenborg of Oelwein and Jared Pfiester of Oelwein; his grandchildren, Alysha Eiklenborg, Paige Stelter and Dalton Flynn; his great grandchild Jayce Flynn; his sisters, Linda Hillman (Delbert) of Oelwein and Shyla Westpfahl (Steve) of Oelwein; his stepsiblings, Kristi Hanson and Chuck Hanson of Illinois; his mother-in-law Teresa Kappmeyer; his siblings-in-law, Judy Elleson (Dave) of Illinois, Eric Kappmeyer (Debra) of Wisconsin and Andrew Kappmeyer of Wisconsin; his father-in-law Frank Kappmeyer; his stepfather Charles Hanson; and his nephew Michael Elleson. He was also cherished by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Due to state and federal guidelines on gatherings regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing is required. Those in attendance are required to wear a mask.
