He is survived by: his daughter Connie Popenhagen of Hawkeye; his grandchildren, Devin Herrerra (Raul) and Ean Popenhagen of Hawkeye; his great grandchild Delanie Grace Herrerra; and his sister Kathleen Kirby (Jack) of Wichita.
