With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nancy Downs of Oelwein, Iowa, who passed away on April 11, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Schmillen and Cora Schmillen (Hanson); her husband Bob Downs; her daughter Denise Ann Downs; and her siblings, Dennis Schmillen and Beverly Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Downs of Oelwein, David Downs (Debbie) of Casa Grande and Cathy Clark (Shane) of LaPorte City; her grandchildren, Ryan Bender (Maribel), Courtney Woodson (Wally), Chris Downs (Sara), Carrie Onofrychuk (David), Brad Miller (Allison), Sam Pirillo (Madalyn), Aidyn Clark and Libby Clark; her great grandchildren, Westin, Emma, Landen, Luke, Nathan, Noah, Nicholas and Olivia; her brother Frank Schmillen (Debbie); her daughters, Emiko Murakami-Kasai and Sari Mutka; and her pet Mollee.
