He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Goedken and Caroline Goedken (Crubel); his wife Lucille Elizabeth Friedman; his siblings, Linus, Arthur, Elmer, Lester, Norbert and Isabell Parkerhouse (Taylor); his siblings-in-law, Leola Goedken (Meyer), Edna Mae Goedken (Fischer), Katherine Goedken (Kortenkamp), Erna Goedken (Houska) and Louis Taylor; his sons-in-law, Fred Tousley and Kenneth Kusch; and his grandson Gregory Goedken.
He is survived by: his children, Carol Tousley (Tom Schiltz) of Oelwein, Merlin C. Goedken (Lynette) of Strawberry Point, Richard Goedken (Mary) of Dundee, Betty Kusch of Mays Landing, Barbara Ramsey (Bill) of Muscatine and Robert Goedken (Lois) of Dundee; and his sister-in-law Julita Goedken (Lentz). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren.
