Mary Lou McBride Obituary

We are sad to announce that on May 8, 2022, at the age of 77, Mary Lou McBride of Oelwein, Iowa, born in Dubuque, Iowa passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary Lou McBride to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Mike M. Kapparos and Ida M. Kapparos (Kuntz); her husband Robert Paul McBride; her brother John Kapparos; and her sisters-in-law, Sharry, Violet and Sandy Kapparos.

She is survived by: her children, Robert McBride (Laurie) of Marion, IA and Michele Reed (Ben) of Pleasant Hill, IA; her grandchildren, Jakob and Adrianna Reed; and her siblings, George, Jim Kapparos and Susan Kauten of Oelwein, IA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Mary went on to work at the Kum and Go in Monticello for many years, before taking a job as a social worker at Foundation 2 in Cedar Rapids, IA, in 1994.
