He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert McIntyre and Zeona McIntyre (Gager); his son Brad McIntyre; his in-laws, Fay and Betty Wheeler; and his sister Joann Anderson.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Wheeler; his sons, Stevie and Steven McIntyre; his daughter-in-law Karla McIntyre; his grandchildren, Maxwell McIntyre and Sabrina McIntyre; his family, Erin Lickiss (Ron), Olivia, Garrett, Cori Lickiss, Diane, Terry Vanlaningham and Jason Lumbus (family: Lexi, Jaide Schultz); and his pet Polly.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Geilenfeld-Buehner Funeral Home (309 1st Ave NE, Oelwein, IA 50662). The military honors was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the American Legion Post 9 of Oelwein (108 1st St SW, Oelwein, IA 50662).
