It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Fairchild of Oelwein, Iowa, who passed away on April 5, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joan Fairchild to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Werdel and Eva Werdel (Sinram); her husband Wallace Fairchild; her daughter Kathleen; and her brother Charles.
She is survived by: her daughter Susan Ricchio (Mark Bahr) of West Union, Iowa; her grandchildren, Andrew Jensen (Rachel) of Napa, Elizabeth Faist (Cory) of Early and Christopher Jensen (Deanna) of Oelwein; her great grandchildren, Landon, Hunter, Alex, Vivienne, Grant and Lucas; her sister Marlene Fratzke (Enoch); and her sister-in-law Alberta Werdel. She is also survived by her ten nieces and nephews.
Due to state and federal guidance on gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic the family will not be having a public memorial at this time.
