It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Bird (Oelwein, Iowa), who passed away on February 9, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerry C. Bird and Opal M. Bird (Hall); his daughter Lynne Marie McGonigle; his son-in-law Mac McGonigle; his siblings, Andrew (Darlene), Levi (Miriam), Art Bird, Ethel James (Howard) and Nellie Ross; and his siblings-in-law, Gene Arnburg, Gary Crawford and Janice Bird.
He is survived by: his former spouse Shirley Gray; his wife Naomi "Mirt" Arnburg; his grandson Jason Heinzeroth (Aryn) of Hayward, MN; his great grandchildren, Jak and Eli Heinzeroth; and his siblings-in-law, Janice Crawford of Pleasantville, Connie Arnburg of Decorah and Bob Ross of Arizona.
