She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Gustafson and Irene Gustafson (Coleman); her granddaughter Emily; her great grandchild Brianna; and her brother Howard "Gus" Gustafson.

She is survived by: her husband Robert "Bob" of Oelwein; her children, Nancy James of Oelwein, Vicki "Janie" Stevens (Wayne) of Oelwein, Laurie Carson (Steve) of Boulder, Deb Paschal (Tammy) of Ventura, Jim Paschal (Cindy) and Pam Horn (Michael) of Bloomington; her grandchildren, Jenn James, Aaron James, Adam James, Justin James, Wade Stevens, Wendi Stevens, Alyssa Carson, Lauren Swafford, Lindsay Wiles, Ally Paschal, Adam Horn and Aimee Horn; her sister Kay Gustafson; her sister-in-law Lynda Gustafson; her cousin Mary Ann Foltz; and also Joanna Howell.
