She was predeceased by: her parents, George Christian Frederick and Pearl Ethel Rabe (Possehl); her husbands, Marvin Burkey and Delbert Leverington; her son Tim Burkey; her children-in-law, Margy Burkey, Kathy Burkey and Rick Lenth; and her granddaughter Gina Prevenas.
She is survived by: her children, Doug Burkey (Jeannette Hoth) of Oelwein and Beth Ann Behrend (Lyle) of Luana; her daughter-in-law Teri Burkey of Hawkeye; her stepsons, Richard Leverington (Marlene) of Georgetown and Delbert Leverington (Claire) of Cedar Rapids; her grandchildren, Matthew Burkey (Kayla), Kristin Pates (Bryan), Stephanie Burkey, Gregory Lenth (Mackenzie Cowden), Ashley Burkey (Jason), Alexander Lenth (Hannah), Aimee Lenth (Daniel Hanson) and Michael Burkey; her stepgrandchildren, Jared Leverington (Julie), Justin Leverington (Kim), Amanda Young, Brannen Bourgeois (Dena), Shawn Bourgeois (Bridgett Birkle), Shelley Ergen, Brooke Hartley (Dave) and DJ Ergen (Lissa); her great grandchildren, Landon, Brent, Avery, Connor, Breelyn, Oaklee, Mara, Nora, Atticus and Oliver; her sister Gwen Hennings (Denny) of Dysart; and her siblings-in-law, Bill Leverington (Rita) of Arkansas, Donna Chamberlain of Center Point and Wilma Walters of Chandler, Arizona. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
