She was predeceased by: her parents, Alden Ward and Elizabeth Ward (Nicklaus); her son Steven P. Ralston; her close friend Paul A. Ruprecht; and her sisters, Ivadell Spragg, Genevieve Strayer and Bethel Clark.
She is survived by: her former husband Paul W. Ralston; her daughters, Maureen Thode (Steve) of Harpers Ferry, Monica Simonson (Adrian) of Northwood, Michele Cashman of North Liberty and Meredith Cunningham (Jim) of Johnston; her daughter-in-law Anita Ralston of Oelwein; her grandchildren, Ann Tiedeman, Lora Lillibridge, Steven Michael Ralston, Alex Streicher, Kaylee Streicher, Jackson Cunningham and Jamison Cunningham; and her sister Marlene Necker of Archer, Florida.. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren.
Memorials may be given in her name to the First Baptist Church of Oelwein, Iowa.
