He was predeceased by: his parents, Pablo Garcia and Maria Garcia (Mendez); his grandson Chad Musser; and his siblings, Mary Hope, Raymond Perez, Max Perez, Manuel Perez, Gumicindo Berumez, Jesse Hurtado, Tony Garcia and Paul Garcia.
He is survived by: his wife Mabel Garcia of Oelwein; his children, Allen Musser of Oelwein, Dianna Boyd (Roger) of Oelwein and Susan Larson (Duane) of Oelwein; his grandchildren, Deena Franks (Keith), Cory Larson (Marcia), Stacia Lumbus, Kalie James and Ryan Szemkus (Kristin); and his siblings, Dave Garcia (Linda) of Silverdale, Washington, Delores Schuler of Oelwein and Theresa Kappmeyer of Oelwein. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be directed in his name to the family or to DaVita Buchanan County Dialysis in Independence, Iowa.
