He was predeceased by: his parents, Erwin Fratzke and Marjorie Fratzke (Troxel); his son Scott Fratzke; his grandson Tyler Fratzke; and his brothers, Eldon "Ollie" Fratzke, Theron Fratzke and Gayle Fratzke.

He is survived by: his children, Kathy Barnes (Jim) of West Dundee, IL, Kurt Fratzke (Eileen) of Lee's Summit, MO and Kevin Fratzke (Joyce) of Parker, CO; his grandchildren, Megan Wilson (Brandon) of Kansas City, MO, Molly Barnes of Iowa City and Matthew Barnes of St. Charles, IL; his great grandchildren, Henry, Ruby and Charlotte Wilson of Kansas City, MO; and his siblings, Marjanne Fratzke of Oelwein and Craig Fratzke (Nancy) of Storm Lake.
