Dione Truog Obituary
We bid farewell to Dione Truog of Oelwein, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 22, 2024 at the age of 90. Dione touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto Mitchell and Bertha Miehe (Ponsor); her husband Roy Harry Truog; her sisters, Arlene Simpson, Leona Hummell and Gertrude Davis; and her son-in-law Jerry Gonzales.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lora Gonzales (Mike Haun) of Oelwein and Connie McNamara (Russ) of Oelwein; her grandchildren, William McNamara of Nevada, Alissa Gonzales, Devin Gonzales of Waterloo and Logan Gonzales of Oelwein; and her great grandchildren, Layne Goodwin and Nolan Goodwin. She is also survived by Several Nieces & Nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church (402 E Charles St, Oelwein, IA 50662).
A Memorial Fund has been established.
