Carol Damon Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carol Damon of Oelwein, Iowa, who passed away on April 19, 2025 at the age of 90. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Carol Damon to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin L. Campbell and Zelma E. Campbell (Martin); her former husband John Albert "Jack" Walling of Conrad, Iowa.; her husband George E. Damon; and her siblings, Janice Buckholtz, Judith Pritchard and Jerry Campbell.
She is survived by: her children, Jill Annette (Tim Carlton) of Washington, DC and Jeffrey Albert Walling (Deanna) of Oconto Falls, Wisconsin; her siblings, Faye Iverson of Phoenix, Arizona, James Campbell of Oelwein and Steven Campbell (Helen) of Cedar Rapids; her stepson Dennis Damon (Colleen) of Waterloo, Iowa.; and her son John Walling (Brenda) of Cisco. She is also survived by six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Grace United Methodist Church (9 1st St NE, Oelwein, IA 50662). A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to the family for a later designation.
