With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elaine C. Thayer of Odebolt, Iowa, who passed away on October 23, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Weitzel and Mae Weitzel (Kolbe); her husband LaDon Thayer; her son Grant Thayer; her brother Phillip Weitzel; and her in-laws, DeLos and Olive Thayer.
She is survived by: her children, Peggy Hoffman (Ron) of Omaha, NE and Daniel Thayer (Daisy) of Odebolt, IA; her daughter-in-law Irene Thayer of Odebolt, IA; her grandchildren, Katie Parr (Andrew), Kristopher Thayer (Sarah), April Lorshbaugh (Lee) and Zachary Thayer; and her siblings, Kay Olson (Allen) of Nemaha, IA and Eugene Weitzel (Sandy) of Early, IA. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family.
