He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Schroeder and Louise Schroeder (Aschinger); his parents-in-law, Herb and Martha Tiefenthaler; his son Frankie; his grandchildren, Steven Schroeder and Heather Schroeder; his siblings, Gus, Norman, Clayton and Nona Mae O'Conner; and his siblings-in-law, Bert O'Conner, Bob Tiefenthaler, Leonard Tiefenthaler, Don Schwaller, Ardis Schroeder, Phyllis Tiefenthaler, Janice Tiefenthaler, Verna Mae Schwaller and Karen Johnson.

He is survived by: his wife Thelma Ann Tiefenthaler of Odebolt, IA; his children, Slim (Mary) of Odebolt, IA, Gary (Karen) of Lake View, IA, Mike (Vicki) of Odebolt, IA, Leon (Barb) of Lake View, IA, Dan (Cindy) of Odebolt, IA, Mary Currie (Mark) of Storm Lake, IA, Janet Cannon (Vince) of Platte City, MO, Kristie Warnemunde (Bob) of Carroll, IA, Bob of Scranton, IA and Chad Mohr of Denison, IA; his sister Marge Albrecht; and his siblings-in-law, Lillian Schroeder, Mary Schroeder, Kathy Kros, Tom Kros and Neal Johnson. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many friends.
