He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, Jerilyn Marra (Dave), Lindsey Helmers (Jerry), Laurel Klaassen (Kevin), Gail Travaille (Rob), Joel Hellinga (Deb) and Heidi Douma (Kent); his stepchildren, Pam Halse, Suzan Stommel (Pete), Cynthia Stutsman, Kristi Kirby (Don) and Dean Halse (Ann); his brothers, Henry Hellinga (Maureen) and Fred Hellinga; his sister-in-law Karen Glade (Kerry); and his friends, Sally and Merle Pedley. He is also survived by Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
