She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene McConnell and Geneva McConnell (Bates); her husband Dick; her daughter Kim; her grandparents, Henry, Emma Bates (Stevenson), Neeley and LeVada McConnell (Gillespie); her stepmother Marveline Hultquist; her parents-in-law, Floyd and Allie Pierson (Gillenwater); her siblings-in-law, Joan Binns, Jack and Mike Pierson; and her nieces, Mary Beth Binns and Tammy Jo Hanson.
She is survived by: her son Kent Pierson (Lisa) of Oakland, IA; her granddaughters, Camryn of Oakland, IA and Allyee Pierson of Oakland, IA; her brothers, Wes McConnell (Betty) of Canton, SD and Stan McConnell (Phyllis) of Indianola, IA; and her sister-in-law Linda Pierson of Oakland, IA. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
