Though John Michael may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those John Michael touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary Louvar; his children, Virginia Florang of Palo and Greg (Kelly Stewart); his brothers, Wayne and Patrick Florang; his daughter Rebecca; and his parents, John Florang and Patricia Slade Florang.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 9:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (805 First Ave, Norway, Iowa 52228).
Instead of flowers, memorials may be donated to the Norway Fire & Rescue Department or the Saint Clair Lodge #164.
