It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Russell Duane Crandall of Norwalk, Iowa, born in Freeport, Illinois, who passed away on January 1, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Orla Crandall and Margaret Crandall (Penticoff); and his siblings, James, Dorothy, Velda, Patricia, Genevieve and Phyllis.
He is survived by: his wife Jackie; his children, Tim and Donna Ballard; his grandchildren, Dillon Ballard (Ellaine) and Dallas Braughton (Tyler); and his sister Nancy Koenigsfeld.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Iles Norwalk Chapel (1020 Main St, Norwalk, IA 50211). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
