With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rita Pearl Moorehead of Norwalk, Iowa, born in Winterset, Iowa, who passed away on April 27, 2023 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wano Welch and Dorothy Welch (Fryer); her husband Lawrence Moorehead; her children, Lawrence Moorehead and Suzette Sitton; and her sister Sandra Pettit.
She is survived by: her children, Marvin Moorehead (Rhonda), Robert Moorehead, Kelly Moorehead (Kristen Graham), Cory Moorehead (Rebecca Jones) and Karalea Moorehead (Robert Watts); and her siblings, Bruce Welch, Dona Russell (Donald), Terri Welch and Walana Welch. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
