As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Matthew Scott may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He is survived by: his children, Stephan Egger, Amanda Baskin (Andrew Baskin) and Chase Reece (Tayler Reece); his grandchildren, Elana Reece, Colbie Reece, Esme Baskin and Luna Baskin; his mother Mary Reece; and his siblings, Theresa Vondra, Steve Reece and Anne McGrath. He is also survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Carper Winery (4603 Dakota St, Norwalk, IA 50211).
