We are sad to announce that on December 28, 2019, at the age of 96, Mayvis Katherine Johnson (Northwood, Iowa) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Selmer Honsey and Ingeborg Honsey (Knutson); her husband Gilman Johnson; her son-in-law Lee Severson; and her siblings, Stella, Clinton, Homer, Palma, Delores, Spencer, Gilman, Gladys, Glenn, Arnold and Janiece.
She is survived by: her daughters, Marilyn Severson of Northwood and Janie Odegaard (Roger) of Northwood; her grandchildren, Randy Severson of Mason City, Scott Severson (Tammy) of Northwood, Ryan Severson (Jeri) of Northwood, Mark Severson of Northwood, Lisa Wangsness (Barry) of Northwood and Bryan Odegaard (Kimberly) of Northwood; her great grandchildren, Hailee Erlandson of Northwood, Colby Severson (Samantha) of Mason City, Lauren Severson (Anthony Welty) of Northwood, Blake Severson (Hannah) of Northwood, Brandon Severson of Northwood, Carter Severson of Northwood and Erika Heideman (Jackson Hertel) of Northwood; her great great grandchildren, Harrisyn, Carter, Mackenzie and Courtney; her siblings, Beverly Bidne (Maynard) of Albert Lea and Harris Honsey (LeAnn) of Lake Mills; and her friend Karen Belville. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.
