We are sad to announce that on February 3, 2021, at the age of 91, Elaine M. Bergan of Northwood, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Olaf L. Ness and Agnes Ness (Fjone); her husband Don Bergan of Lake Mills; her siblings, Ruth Lerohl and Marvin Ness; her stepsiblings, Lois Halvorson and Claire Vermedahl; her siblings-in-law, Ruth Disrud, Robert Calgaard, Alfred Disrud and Rev. Alden Lerohl; her nephew Andrew Lerohl; and her niece Pat Preul.
She is survived by: her children, Kathleen Schuhmacher (Harold) of Waverly, IA, Diane Folkerts (David) of Thompson, IA and David Bergan (Shelley) of Lake Mills, IA; her grandchildren, Jason Schuhmacher (Sarah) of Papillion, NE, Kara Butte (Doug) of Parker, CO, Nathan Schuhmacher of Waterloo, IA, Jennifer Bradley, Jessica Blasdell (Josh) of Cedar Rapids, IA, Katie Bergan of Lake Mills, IA and Callie Bergan (Jake Schmitz); her great grandchildren, Kyle Schuhmacher (Chinyoung), Katelyn Humphreys (Ryan), Rebekah Schuhmacher (Cooper Kesterson), Caleb, Daniel, Adam, Bethany, Benjamin Schuhmacher, Isaac, Malachi, Siri Frazier, Micah, Andrew, Abigail Butte, Jacob Bradley (Torrie Kofron), Avery, Ben, Emily LeGrange, Tyler and Josh Jr. Blasdell; her great great grandchildren, Sophia, Ian and Anna Humphreys; her sisters-in-law, Mary Jane Calgaard and Gayle McMullen; and her stepsiblings, Ruth Vermedahl and Rev. Wayne Halvorson. She is also survived by niece, and several nephews.
