She was predeceased by: her parents, Noble Houston and Ruth V. Houston (Tomlinson); and her siblings, Beverly Vaverka and Willis Houston. She is survived by: her husband Don A. Coleman; her daughters, Teresa Coleman and Brenda Coleman; her grandson Douglas Kirby; and her sister Linda Corns.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service (2720 Muscatine Ave, Iowa City, IA 52240).
