She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Roy and Iona Ann Wilcox (Hoffman); her husbands, Bryce Cunningham and Norman Knight; her siblings, Kenneth Wilcox and Marie Harris; and her stepson Robert Cunningham.
She is survived by: her children, Dave Knight (Mary) and Chere Knight-Miller; her stepchildren, Catherine Cunningham, James Cunningham (Lisa) and John Cunningham (Renee); her grandchildren, Dan Knight (Jill), Amy Knight, Alisha Horgen (Ben), Aaron Miller (Sammy Bengtson) and Elayna Cunningham; and her great grandchildren, Evelyn Knight, Leah Knight, Selma Horgen and Henry Horgen.
In honor of Phyllis Cunningham, memorial donations can be made to the North Liberty Food Bank, where she enjoyed volunteering, The Bird House Hospice Home of Johnson County in Iowa City, who lovingly cared for Bryce in 2020, or the Mackey Community Preservation Fund.
