She was predeceased by: her sister Penny Vandewater. She is survived by: her sons, Shaun (Nicole) of Oxford and Aron (Autumn) of North Liberty; her siblings, Eric Vandewater (Julie) of North Liberty and Teddy Gertsma (Jim) of Vermillion; her grandchildren, Lerin, Maya, McKenna and Michael; and her parents, Willis Dale and Ida Jane Foreman Vandewater. She is also survived by mother, sister, grandmother and friend.

Memorial donations may be given to the Cedar Valley Humane Society in Nancy's name.
