He was predeceased by: his former wife Shannon Bergeson; his aunt Charlene; and his uncle John Ibbotson. He is survived by: his parents, Gary Hoskins and Kathryn Hoskins (Courtney) of West Branch; his daughter Olivia Hoskins of Buckeye; and his siblings, Melissa Hoskins of Englewood and Marc Hoskins (Susan) of Bettendorf. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Instead of flowers and plants, the family suggests memorials to an education fund that will benefit Matt's daughter, Olivia.
