He was predeceased by: his parents, William Elmer and Mary Campbell (Stewart); and his brothers, Ray and Bob Campbell. He is survived by: his spouse Jene Eldridge.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of James L. Campbell may be donated to the First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 547, North Liberty, IN 46554.
