With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gordon Earl Shelman of North Liberty, Iowa, born in Washington, Iowa, who passed away on January 11, 2023 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Ruth Shelman (Galloway). He is survived by: his former wife Dorothy Woodson; his father Gordon L. Shelman of Washington, IA; his children, Toni Vaughn (Chad) of North Liberty, IA and Scott Shelman (Stephanie) of North Liberty, IA; his siblings, Meleia Shelman Kanselaar (John) of Oskaloosa, IA, Matt Shelman (Brenda) of Burlington, IA and Nick Shelman (Rhonda) of Washington, IA; and his grandchildren, Dustin Vaughn, Zach Rouse, Alex Vaughn, Blake Vaughn, Caleb Shelman and Ryan Shelman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to Iowa City Hospice.
