With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Delbert Gehrke of North Liberty, Iowa, born in New Ulm, Minnesota, who passed away on October 9, 2023 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Erwin Gehrke and Inez Gehrke (Hasse). He is survived by: his wife Judy Simpson; his children, Michelle Gehrke (John) of North Liberty and Bradley Gehrke (Christina) of Solon; his grandchildren, Jessica Hauptmann (Caylin) of Winter Haven, Hunter Gehrke (Maddison) of Shueyville, Chase Gehrke (Kelsey) of Spencer and Otto Gehrke of Solon; and his great grandchild Kinsleigh Mai Hauptmann of Winter Haven.
Memorials may be made to Iowa City Hospice or the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center.
