He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Steffens and Jenny Steffens (Wooder). He is survived by: his children, Melvin Steffens (Heidi) of North Liberty, Jennifer Steffens (Ryan Megeff) of Iowa City and Michael Stepanek of Iowa City; his grandchildren, Jake, Jordan and Jason; and his siblings, Nancy Kroemer and Joe Steffens. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed toward the Steffens family in care of Melvin Steffens.
