She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Gilchrist and Sallie Gilchrist; her husband Leroy Claypool; her daughter Sally Hulbert; her stepson Gary Wyant; her grandson Matt Dhondt; her brother William; her sister-in-law Gladys Gilchrist; her sister Betty Jo Donahue; and her nephew Randy Donahue.
She is survived by: her daughter Nancy Rutt (Lavon) of Iowa City; her stepdaughter Vickie Wyant of South English; her grandsons, Christopher Rutt (Christine) and Jay Rutt of Iowa City; her great grandchildren, Kyle Dhondt, Shelby Dhondt, Devin, Annika Rutt, Doug and Danielle Barker; her great great grandchild Amara; and her brother-in-law Kenneth Donahue. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to the North English Christian Church or Iowa City Hospice.
