He was predeceased by: his parents, Fern Westphal and Robert Westphal; and his siblings, Phyllis Ihns, Merton, Floyd and Roger Westphal.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Lloyd; his sons, Michael (Theresa) of Wamego and Mitchell (Angela) of Mason City, Iowa; his grandchildren, Bryce (Ariel), Jordan, Kyle, Kaitie (Trevon) and Lucas; and his great grandchild Ashlyn. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends.
The family has asked memorials to be sent to The American Legion Post 449 Auxiliary, The United Methodist Church in Nora Springs, MercyOne North Iowa Hospice or the Nora Springs Public Library.
