He was predeceased by: his wife Iris; his parents, Garrett and Adda; his son Gary; and his siblings, Gale Brierly, Gordon Brierly (Corrine), Kenny Brierly, Burton Brierly, Virginia Rethamel (Art), Howard William Brierly and Edna May Brierly.
He is survived by: his children, Marvin Brierly (Kathie), Connie Schuver (Bruce) and Naples; his grandchildren, Jason Brierly, Jim Schuver (Christine), Wendy Simpson (Travis), Nathan Brierly and Angie Murley (Bob); his sister Mary Lou Stoltenberg (Fred) of Tripoli; and his sister-in-law Betty Brierly of Nora Springs.
