She was predeceased by: her parents, John Thorndyke and Janet Thorndyke (Hansen); her husband Harold "Butch" Sturms; her daughter Laura Sturms; her siblings, Elda Thorndyke, Bob, Bill and Pete Thorndyke; and her nephew Tom Keeler.
She is survived by: her children, Sherry Lynn Sturms-Hazen (Dennis Laymen) of Ainsworth and George Sturms (Paula) of Muscatine; her grandchildren, Matt Hazen, Adam Hazen (Cathy), Brett Hazen, Chasity Barclay, Dan Sturms (Kassie), Josh Sturms (Maria), Scott Bigger and Miranda Sturms; and her great grandchildren, Mason, Kevin, Kayden, William, Hunter, Charlee, Remi, Jonathan, Isaac, Lilly, Rylan, Hailey, Jaime, Ali, Jorge, Mikey, Alexis, Aleah, Stormi, Savannah, Vanessa and Noah. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Nancy's name.
